Acuña Foundation USA exists to serve people and families facing vulnerable conditions through compassionate, on-the-ground support in the United States and Mexico, wherever help is needed most. We focus on improving wellbeing through community outreach that strengthens health access, preventive care, essential relief, and education support working with responsibility, dignity, and respect. By mobilizing donors, volunteers, and partners, we turn solidarity into direct action that brings practical support and hope to communities.

Vision
We envision communities in the United States and Mexico where every person especially children and families in vulnerable situations can access dignity, care, and real opportunities to thrive. Our goal is to help build a future shaped by compassion and social responsibility, where community outreach, collaboration, and sustained support reduce barriers to health, essentials, and education. Through strong partnerships and a growing culture of service, we strive to create lasting positive change across borders.
Maricela Acuña, CEO
Maricela Acuña was born in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, and grew up in the United States. More than 18 years ago, she began her commitment to community service, supporting individuals and families facing hardship in both the U.S. and Tijuana.
Driven by a calling to help, four years ago she brought one of her biggest dreams to life by founding an independent, nonprofit, non-governmental organization dedicated to serving low-income communities in her hometown.
Today, her mission has expanded across borders through the foundation’s official registration in the United States, allowing its impact and reach to grow even further. Through her work, Maricela supports vulnerable families especially those with children or family members with disabilities addressing a wide range of needs with a compassionate, hands-on, and deeply committed approach.
